Flight Instructor – Part-Time
Flight instruction is the core of our business and we’re looking for a couple great flight instructors to join our team. You must have an FAA Third Class Medical, FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate for Single Engine Land, and a Flight Instructor Certificate for Single Engine Land. You must have a clean flying record, good references, and be an excellent teacher of aviation. We’re looking for professional people with a sincere desire to teach the art and science of aviation and share their enthusiasm with their students.
- FAA Commercial Pilot License Single Engine Land
- FAA Flight Instructor License – Current
- FAA 3rd Class Medical
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and Demonstrated Competence in Mountain Flying
- > 500 hours total time
- Instrument Rating
- Instrument Instructor
- > 20 Hours in PA-28 Make/Model
- > 20 Hours in DA-20 Make/Model
As a flight instructor you will be responsible for instructing students at all levels. Many of our students are working on a private pilot’s license, some on instrument ratings. We also frequently perform flight reviews and provide mountain training for visitors. Eagle is a windy airport and your crosswind skills should be sharp. As an instructor you’ll also have the opportunity to act as an Air Tours Pilot for Alpine Flight Tours of Vail.
