Friends of the Glenwood Springs Airport is a non-profit organization established in 2005 by local area pilots and flight enthusiasts. Each school year the Friends award up to two scholarships for up to $2,000 each to academically strong graduating seniors who plan to make the field of aviation a part of their daily lives.
Motivated, well-rounded students who strive for excellence and have an interest in flying, or in the field of aviation, are encouraged to apply. Eligible students must be a graduating senior who are going to pursue a career in aviation, a pilot’s license, or a course of study through a four-year program or technical school geared toward a career in aviation. Financial need is not a requirement. This scholarship is open to all students.
To apply, submit the list below to your school counselor by March 17, 2020.
• Your school’s generic scholarship application
• Three letters of recommendation
• Current transcript
• One page letter detailing your interests and goals in the field of aviation
Counselors will be notified of the recipient(s) by March 27, 2019.
